Join staff and visitors as they honor our nation's veterans. The film Heroes on Deck will be shown in the Visitor Center Auditorium. The film chronicles the role that Chicago and Lake Michigan played in the training of over 15,000 WWII Navy Pilots. The story includes how the pilots were trained and the recovery of some of the over 100 aircraft that ended up at the bottom of Lake Michigan. In addition, there will be a number of military artifacts on display that can be viewed before or after the film.
