ABOUT

An historical musical context for Indiana's Inauguration as the 19th state. The Midwest Premiere of "Crystal Healing" by Gary Schocker will be featured. Joan Tower's "Snow Dreams" pays homage to 1816 globally as the catastrophic "year without a summer." Opera Excerpts from Rossini's "Barber of Seville" in an original early 19th century arrangement for flute and guitar, a sonata by G.P.A. Gatayes, close friend of the infamous Jean-Paul Marat, and a Giuliani sonata will complete the program.
